Two Rogers County dump trucks were involved in an accident Monday near Inola after one driver lost control of the vehicle.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol and County Commissioner Kirt Thacker responded to the scene.
The employees, Troy Austin and Dennis May, were working on a roadway traveling opposite directions when the driver of the northbound vehicle, May, went off the road, according to Thacker.
As May worked to re-enter the roadway he overcorrected causing him to loose control.
The truck then crashed into the other county dump truck and turning it over and dumping its load. Despite the condition of the vehicles, both employees received minor injuries. They were treated and released.
The trucks received significant damage and one of the vehicles is likely totaled, Thacker said. The county will be working with its insurance to determine the initial cost of damages.
The employees have already returned to work with only minor injuries, according to county officials.
