CLAREMORE —

The Rogers County Court Clerk’s office is launching a new phone payment system beginning April 1.
“We will take credit card payments over the phone,” said Jennifer Book, First Deputy. “We want to make the process easier for those who may not be able to make it to the office before end of business each day.”
To make a payment, the individuals will need their case number or traffic citation number, according to Book.
The office will accept payments for most fines and costs on felony, misdemeanor or traffic cases. Payments may be made between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. The payment opportunity will exclude cases in which a failure to pay warrant has been issue with a cash bond.  Traffic tickets that  require a plea will also be excluded.
“For example, a ticket for driving with a suspended license or revoked license would be excluded,” Book said.
Drug court participants will be able to pay their fines, but their fees will not be accepted via the phone payment system, according to Book.
“We will take Mastercard, Visa and American Express,” Book said.
