CLAREMORE —

Rogers County Commissioner Dan DeLozier will formally announce Monday the first of two time capsules has been located during the demolition of the old courthouse.
The first capsule was found near the north end of the 1985 addition to the building.
The time capsule is believed to have documents from the same time period.
Two small plastic bags were found containing what appears to be an old newspaper and two publications of the local Masonic Lodge.
DeLozier will present the information to the commissioners during their weekly meeting so a ceremony can be scheduled to open the capsule.
Demolition crews have not uncovered the second time capsule, believed to be located near the “prayer tower” on the east side of the building, according to DeLozier.
It has not been determined if the commissioners will wait until both capsules are found to reveal the contents.
DeLozier said he is working with the Masons to set up the event for the public.
