Rogers County elects Kim Henry

CLAREMORE — Rogers County voters selected Republican Kim Henry to serve as the next Court Clerk.

Henry defeated incumbent Candi Czapansky with a near 2 to 1 victory.
Henry received 22,688 votes to Czapansky’s 13,539.
She won with more than 60 percent of the vote, ending Czapansky’s 29 years of service in the Court Clerk’s office.
“We will immediately address the issue of following statutes including the notices for those who fail to appear,” Henry said.
“I will be working with the courts and law enforcement to determine the changes that need to be made to improve the system,” she added.
This includes adding more equipment, a fax machine and phone lines to improve customer service.
Henry wants to get to work to improve fine collections and make sure state statutes are followed.
“If you fail to appear in Rogers County, you better take care of the issue, because we will be cracking down,” Henry said.
These changes will generate lost revenue that has been neglected because the statutes have not been followed in the past several years, according to Henry.
“I want to provide better customer service, increase the use of technology and provide more availability to customers,” Henry said.
Henry plans to extend hours of operation and will invest in more technology.
Overall, Henry is looking to bring a productive change to the office with the goal of providing better service while supporting the court system.
“The voters have sent a clear message,” supporter Jennifer Book said.
Supporters of Henry, her family and friends celebrated the victory Tuesday evening many echoed the same sentiment.
Henry has made it clear she plans to make sure the voters are more than satisfied with their choice as she works to optimize the performance of the court clerk’s office.
