District 1 road closure to last one week

CLAREMORE —

Rogers County District 1 will close the low-water bridge located on Claremore Lake/Happy Lake today in preparation for construction of a new bridge.
The bridge will be closed for one day and then reopened for the weekend. 
On Monday, the bridge will be closed for a week.
Boring will start during the weeklong closure.
The bridge is being replaced due to heavy traffic and usage, according to District 1 representatives.
Tulsa Pier Drilling will work with Rogers County Commissioner Dan DeLozier on the bridge replacement.
The large bridge replacement project follows DeLozier's completion of the Akin Road Bridge partially funded by the Cherokee Nation.
The district will also close South 4160 Road or Brisco Road the same week to allow BNSF Railroad to complete the crossing improvements in the area. 
That crossing will also close for one week and will conclude the crossing closures for the railroad expansion project.
