Family feud gets bloody

CLAREMORE — Rogers County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Talala man for stabbing his son-in-law in the face Monday night.

John Blaine Hallagin, 46, was arrested on a complaint of assault with a dangerous weapon.
“The son-in-law and daughter came over to pick up a heater, and an altercation took place,” said Deputy Jerry Smittle with the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. “The father-in-law banged on the window of the kid’s car and then pulled him out of the car.”
The argument ended when Hallagin stabbed his son-in-law in the face in front of the couple’s 7-month-old daughter, Smittle said.
The wife and husband got back in the car and drove to the office of the Talala Police Department. Blood was all over the man and inside his vehicle, according to Smittle.
The Rogers County Sheriff was called to assist the TPD and later took Hallagin into custody.
The son-in-law was taken to a St. John Medical Center in Tulsa with non-life threatening injuries, according to the Rogers County Sheriff’s Office. The victim was treated and released. Hallagin remains in custody.
