An arrest has been made in Claremore's road rage-related shooting.
Claremore Police Department, with the assistance of Rogers County District Attorney's Office, served a search warrant near Country Club Road and Walnut Hill Lane regarding the shooting that occurred after a road rage incident.
Claremore Police Department's Deputy Chief Steve Cox said— "Officers located evidence relating to the shooting, including the pistol and ammunition believed to be involved in the shooting."
He said Logan Earl Riherd, a 22-year old male, was arrested by Claremore Police Department for two counts of assault with a deadly weapon and one count of use of a vehicle in the discharge of a firearm, both felony offenses.
"During the investigation, Claremore police learned two victims were traveling in a vehicle that was struck several times with bullets including one that punctured a tire. No one was injured as a result of the shooting. The motive for the shooting appears to be related to road rage," Cox said. "The Claremore Police Department would like to thank all of our local businesses and citizens that provided assistance during this investigation, including surveillance video that provided crucial details that led to the arrest of Logan Earl Riherd.
