CLAREMORE, OK – On Friday, September 14, the Claremore Area Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Claremore Industrial and Economic Development Authority (CIEDA), will present a Hot Topic Lunch on Medical Marijuana and the Workplace from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm at the Northeast Technology Center Claremore Campus.

Attorneys from GableGotwals will discuss the intersection of state and federal laws, Oklahoma Health Department’s regulations, protections under the Act affecting the workplace, drug testing and maintaining a drug-free workplace, and what actions employers should take right now in anticipation of the law taking effect. “We know this is important and pertinent information to share and we want to encourage business owners and human resource managers to attend,” said chamber president, Barby Myers. “This luncheon is open to both chamber members and non-members.”
