The Claremore City Council meeting of the year contained a discussion, and vote, on whether or not to seek request proposals for design services for the new solid waste transfer station.
The request to seek proposals was approved first by the Planning Commission, then by Claremore City Council.
Claremore's City Engineer, Garrett Ball said the RFP process will take roughly 21 days.
This is after both the Planning Commission and city council approved a request to change the zoning of the property from Agriculture to Industrial High.
Though the original re-zoning request was made for the entire property, over 90 acres, the city agreed to amend the request to reflect only the portion of the property which contains the proposed transfer station.
