A Claremore man is facing felony charges following allegations that he sexually abused a female juvenile.
Carl Beitzel, 49, is facing a possible felony count of child sexual abuse after an alleged victim disclosed that he had touched her in a sexual manner.
The victim, according to the affidavit filed in the case, was interviewed at the William W. Barnes Children's Advocacy Center.
The affidavit states the victim's mother "did not notify the police or DHS Child Welfare about the incident..and failed to protect her children by staying in the same residence as Beitzel and failing to remove her children to keep them safe."
The affidavit quotes the juvenile in saying "[the mother] had no intentions of helping her and had no regard for the childrens' safety."
Beitzel reportedly disclosed to law enforcement that he "did not touch [the juvenile] in a sexual manner," but later said "if it did happen it was an accident and she could have taken it the wrong way."
"He has been accused of touching [other juveniles] in a sexual manner a couple years ago. He was not arrested due to lack of evidence to prosecute," according to the affidavit.
Bond on the warrant is set at $100,000.
