Nearly a dozen Claremore High School girls will be vying for the title of Ms. Claremore High this weekend at the Robson Performing Arts Center.

Co-sponsored by the Claremore Band Boosters Association and Claremore High School Band, the annual pageant is an open-to-the-community event, the proceeds of which will benefit CHS band.

“It’s going to be a lovely evening of classical entertainment, and which highlights the talents of 11 distinguished Claremore High School girls as they compete for the Miss Claremore 2017 crown,” said Rhonda Cochran, Claremore Band Boosters Association president. “There will be live jazz music, an introduction, casual wear, talent and evening wear competitions. It’s going to be a great event.”

The 2017 Ms. Claremore High Pageant will be 7 p.m. Saturday at the Robson PAC, 101 E. Stuart Roosa in Claremore.

Tickets are $10 and available at the PAC box office.

CONTESTANTS:

Megan Cheyenne Hering, 17

Megan is a junior and is a member of the National Honors Society and the Oklahoma Indian Honors Society. She is a member of the Claremore HIgh School Band, where she plays the flute and oboe. She has been a member of the Tulsa Youth Symphony for two years. Megan enjoys playing in her church’s praise band, and going to cosmetology school at Northeastern Technology Center. Her escort is Jacob Velasquez.

Quincy LoRee McSpadden, 17

Quincy is a senior and is the drum major for the 2017 marching Zebra Band. She aspires to be a chemical engineer or chemist one day, and has received the Elks Award for Science. Quincy enjoys modeling, being a member of Winter Guard, volunteering at church and being a director for Dickens on the Boulevard. Her escort will be Andrew Sova.

Macy Lynn Kindle, 17

Macy is a junior who enjoys playing basketball and golf, and participating in Student Council and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She has been on the superintendent’s honor roll for two years and received the Z-Award for Trigonometry. Macy is a member of the National Honor Society and aspires to be an architect one day. Macy will be escorted by Bryson Brown.

Danielle Rae Meisinger, 16

Danielle is a student athlete at Claremore High School, who competes on the Varsity volleyball and soccer teams. She is a junior who enjoys going to the gym, painting, writing and running. Danielle has been named the CHS Student of the Month twice and volleyball team captain, and is a member of the National Honor Society. She enjoys volunteering for volleyball tournaments, for the quarterback club and for her church. Danielle will be escorted by Brady Priess.

Brittany Nicole Joy, 16

Brittany is a junior at who enjoys marching her trumpet for the Claremore Zebra Band. She was awarded a Superior rating for her trumpet solo at the District Solo and Ensemble contest in 2016 and was presented with the Z Award for Spanish of that year. Brittany is a Harry Potter fan and enjoys the art of writing. She aspires to go to college when she graduates, but is undecided about what she will major in. Brittany will be escorted by Bryce Quillin.

Lindsay Ashlynn Owens, 18

Lindsay is a senior at Claremore High School who enjoys dance, being apart of Student Council and baking. Lindsay is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society, since 2011. She has received the Elks Certificate of Merit in Science, and a Superior rating at the Oklahoma State Music Concert Contest. Lindsay looks forward to becoming an Osteopathic Pediatrician. Lindsay’s escort will be Nathan Elliot.

Kateln Rose Hall, 16

Kateln is a junior involved in FFA and archery. She has received multiple FFA and archery awards, as well as the Z Award for Word Processing. Kateln was named the 2011 Rogers State University Homecoming princess. She also enjoys singing for Bel Chante and volunteering at the senior center. Kateln aspires to become a teacher when she is older. Her escort will be David Butler.

Kenlee Beth Claborn, 16

Kenlee is a Claremore High School junior, she is a member of the National Honor Society and the CHS Jazz Choir. Kenlee enjoys volunteering for iAct at the Robson Perfroming Arts Center, and participating in her youth group. She is involved in musical theater and has portrayed many roles throughout her high school career. Kenlee has been named student of the month two times, and she has been accepted into the All-State choir competition. She hopes to become a Medical Examiner or Coroner. Kenlee will be escorted by Brady Johnson.

Autumn Gail Patton, 18

Autumn is a senior who enjoys public speaking, reading, cooking and spending time with her family and friends. She has volunteered at the VA Hospital, and has helped pack food for the Food 4 Kids program. She is the vice president of the Claremore FFA Chapter since 2016. Autumn placed third in the Agricultural Communications State Competition. She wants to attend OSU for a major in Agricultural Education. Autumn is being escorted by Aidan Anderson.

Myranda Decker, 16

Myranda is a junior at Claremore High School. She has received her Community Service Ribbon, signifying ninety hours of community service. Myranda is involved in ROTC, and the color guard. She was given the Special Forces Award, and is a graduate from

BLT, Basic Leadership. She has volunteered for blood drives, Toys for Tots, and Senior Citizens Day. Myranda aspires to serve for her country by joining the military one day. Myranda’s escort is Donovan Johnson.

Alyssa Brown, 17

Alyssa is a senior at Claremore High School, who enjoys writing and acting. She has played many roles for various musicals and plays. She is a member of the CHS Jazz Choir, and loves to sing. Ayssa is a recipient of the President’s Award. Her career ambition is to be a director, or an actress and writer. Alyssa is being escorted by Easton Glenn.
