Walking off the street into Cozy Cottage is like walking into a warm embrace.

Shop owner Kathy Glover has created a space that is everything the store name promises — cozy.

From the precariously piled to the perfectly hung, the store is filled from floor to ceiling with one-of-a-kind antiques and home decor items.

Glover has been running the Cottage for 16-years but it’s called Claremore home for just shy of three.

She started with a booth, but was having so much fun that she decided to expand to her own brick and mortar storefront.

“We recently added a boutique, so we now have something for everyone. We’re a one-stop shop,” she said.

The boutique portion stocks favorites like C.C. Beanies, graphic tees and tunics—along with some unexpected items.

The boutique items, antiques and decor are all packed with personality that add to the store’s unique charm.

The uniqueness of the store — both in aesthetic and merchandise — is the reflection of an intentional effort on behalf of the owner.

“When it comes to the antiques it’s all about the thrill of the hunt for me,” she said. “And with all of it, really, I love finding new things, unique things.”

It’s something she said customers seem to love about Cozy Cottage.

“We want to provide a good service to the community and downtown and hope people shop local instead of going out of the area, especially on Small Business Saturday,” she said.

Cozy Cottage is located at 514 W. Will Rogers Blvd., in Claremore.
