Genealogy volunteers will be at the Will Rogers Library every Sunday in July from 3 to 7 p.m. to help any curious soul with their genealogy research. They will also help with applications for Daughters of the American Revolution.

Tuesday, July 10

The Claremore City Planning and Development Department will host a public hearing next Tuesday to take citizens’ input on sidewalk developement plans for the Community Development Block Grant. The hearing will take place in the City Council Chambers at City Hall at 4 p.m.

Autumn Wood/Wood Manor will be offering support groups for caregivers, family and friends of someone who has dementia or Alzheimer's on the second Tuesday of every month from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Autumn Wood Memory Care located at 2700 N. Hickory in Claremore.

Thursday, July 12

Rogers County Free Medical Clinic will open at 6 p.m. in the Rogers County Health Department. Held twice monthly, the Rogers County Free Medical Clinic is open to persons living in the county who are without insurance and who would otherwise not have access or be able to afford medical care. Consulatations and patients seen are on a first-come, first served basis.

AARP Chapter 3521 will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Pizza Hut in Claremore. OSU affiliate Penny King will be a guest speaker. For reservations call Loratta Genn at (918) 341-7099.

Enjoy the Thursday Night Summer Concerts in Gazebo Park this season! The Claremore Museum of History will open at 5:00 PM with family activities for your enjoyment before the concert at 7:30 PM at the Gazebo. Saturday, July 21

It's fun the entire family can enjoy - head out to the Will Rogers Downs for the2018 Lawn Mower Races! The practice laps will begin at approximately 5:00 PM, followed by the heat races, then featured races. Those who wish to be in the pit area during the races must be registered (signed release waivers, etc.) before 4:30 PM. If you are interested in participating in the lawn mower races, contact Harold McDonald at (918) 695-1305. Please note that all lawn mowers must be built in accordance to the guidelines of the USLMRA (United States Lawn Mower Racing Association) safety rules and regulations which can be found at USLMRA.com.
