FRIDAY Nov. 10

12th annual Claremore Veterans Day parade and US flag retirement ceremony. Flag ceremony will held at the flag pole at the Claremore Expo Center. The flag ceremony starts at 9 a.m. led by the Claremore High School ROTC unit. Speakers include US Rep. Mark Wayne Mullin, Claremore Mayor Bill Flanagan, Claremore City Manager Jim Thomas, State Rep. Mark Lepak and State Senator, Marty Quinn. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Parade begins at 11:11 a.m. from the Expo center and travels east down Will Rogers Blvd, ending at the First Baptist Church parking lot. Grand Marshals are U.S. Army veterans C.J. Masters of Claremore and Bobby Jones of Broken Arrow. One-hundred units are expected to participate in the parade. Information: 918- 342-5730.
