Claremore Museum of History is open every Saturday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Learn about the people that brought about the birth and growth of Claremore. 4th & Weenonah Avenue. $2 donation is appreciated.

Citywide Sock Hop 1-3 p.m. Claremore Community Center, 2301 North Sioux. 1950’s era dancing, music, entertainment. 1950’s dress not required but encouraged. Admission is on non-perishable food item to be donated to the Eastern Oklahoma Community Food Bank. Information: 918-269-4972.

Free assistance with genealogy research is available 3-7 p.m. at the Will Rogers Library, 1515 N Florence Ave., Claremore.

WEDNESDAY April 5

Claremore Area Ministerial Alliance sponsors Community Lent Worship Services 12 p.m. at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 1310 N. Sioux in Claremore. Destiny Life Church will offer services, followed by a light lunch for $3 donation.

THURSDAY April 6

PreK Enrollment for Sequoyah Lower Elementary 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school. Parents should bring current utility bill, child’s birth certificate, up-to-date shot record, CDIB card (if applicable). Information: 918-341-6111.

Rogers County Free Medical Clinic 6 p.m. at Rogers County Health Department, 2664 N. Highway 88, Claremore. Persons attending must live in Rogers County and have no other health insurance, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Sooner Care or others. Information: 918-341-3166.

First Christian Church Disciples Women’s annual garage sale 8 a.m. to noon, 200 E. 5th Street in Claremore. Open to the public. Proceeds benefit church ministries.

High Noon Shoot Out at the J.M. Davis Arms & Historical Museum 12 p.m., 5th and SH66 in downtown Claremore. Tri-State Gunfighters stage a (family friendly) wild west street shoot out and bank robbery. Free and open to the public. Information: 918-342-5707.
