Rogers County Free Medical Clinic is open to persons living in the county who are without insurance, such as Medicare, Medicaid, Sooner Care, or others, and who would otherwise not have access or be able to afford medical care. Clinics are held at the Rogers County Health Department starting at 6 p.m. and consulatations and patients seen are on a first come, first served basis.

The Teaching Gardens at Will Rogers Park are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., weather permtting, for taking photos, enjoying a relaxing picnic, or learning from the Rogers County Master Gardners. Feel free to stop by.

The 11th annual Inola Gamma Pi ESA Bunco Tournament will be from 4-9 p.m. at the Inola Hay Capital Round-up Club. Seating is limited. Pre-registration costs $15 or $20 at the door. The reserve your Bunco seat call 918-637-0595. The group will be joined by Tulsa radio personality Carly Rush. There will be door prizes, welcome bags, concessions and a chance to win a hand embroidered quilt. Bring non-perishable food items for the Inola Ministry House and receive more chances to win. Proceeds benefit Food 4 Kids at Inola Schools, Compassion Women’s Center and supplies for Inola Schools.

The Claremore Wildcats Fundraiser Car Wash will be outside Pizza Hut from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come out and support the Special Olympics team.

The Bison Flats Concert Series continues at 7 p.m. with musician and documentary filmmaker Beau Jennings. Get your tickets at musichaven.org.

Head out to the Will Rogers Downs for the 2018 Lawn Mower Races! The practice laps will being at approximately 5 p.m., followed by heat races and then feature races. Those who wish to be in the pit area during the races must be registered before 4:30 p.m. If you interested in racing in the lawn mower races, please contact Harold McDonald at (918) 695-1305.

Rogers County Youth Services is gearing up to host the 3rd Annual Community Wide Sock Hop! Enjoy a variety of contests, prizes and, of course, dancing! This hoppin’ event will take place at the Claremore Conference Center on August 25th from 6–10 p.m. Advance tickets are now available for $10 for adults, $5 for children and children 5 and under are free. The Genealogy Volunteers are at the Will Rogers Library on Mondays from 3-7 p.m. to assist patrons researching their family history. We also can help with research to assist those wishing to apply for membership in the DAR. The
