Will Rogers

BEVERLY HILLS, Cal., Sept. 11, 1929 - So we are the nation that travels so fast and think all the other countries are still in a covered wagon. Well, some Englishman just went 355 miles an hour in a plane yesterday and almost wept because it was foggy and misty and he was not able to open it up. If you remember, one come over here and run an automobile faster than we can even wreck one, so when it comes to speed we are not exactly what you would call sitting on top of the world.

Englishmen live slow and move fast; we live fast and move slow.

Yours,

Will Rogers.
