Applications for Proficiency Based Exams are now being taken for scheduled testing on May 29, June 2 and June 5 -9, 2006.

Students who score 90 percent on an exam will be given credit for their learning and will be given the opportunity to advance to the next level of study in the appropriate curriculum area.

Proficiency exams are taken for grade levels and courses for which students have not earned credit. Students can “test out” of courses not yet taken in school.

Tests are available in core curriculum areas. It is recommended that parents discuss the request with a teacher who knows the student before committing to the testing.

Applications for Proficiency Based Examinations are available from the Administration Building for students to schedule testing times.

For additional information, parents may contact Lynelle Burrows, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, at 699-7300.
