Bill Peace

Bill entered into rest on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2017. He was born May 10, 1956 in Pryor, Okla. He lived in Claremore, Okla. until 1972. He moved to Yucaipa with his family during his sophomore year, and graduated from Yucaipa High School in 1974, where he made many friends. He was known and loved by many.

Bill was always working. He pumped gas at Herbs Chevron in Calimesa, worked at Randalls Machine Shop as a welder, and was a meat cutter for Stater Bros. before starting his career as a surveyor, where he worked on the Seven Oaks Dam project.

Bill loved to play golf and tennis and enjoyed watching sporting events, especially college football. As he would say, “Give me a Saturday full of college football any day, and of course a Sooners win!”

Bill is survived by his mom, Juanita Swarts, his sister, Sandy and her husband, Ray Gower, sister, Donna and husband, Joe Walsh, brother, Robert Peace, and brother, Keith Peace and wife, Janine, longtime companion, Brenda Gooch, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26 at 12241 10th Street in Yucaipa.
