An Ooogah woman was taken to St. Francis Hospital last Wednesday following injuries received from a two-car accident in Nowata County.

Thirty-nine-year-old Deborah J. Aitken of Oologah was eastbound on a county road in her 2006 Ford pickup, one mile south of Nowata near 4 p.m. Wednesday, according to the report of OHP Trooper Marvin Culver.

At the same time, Cathy Malone and husband, Henry of Nowata were westbound in their 1994 Camry on the same road.

Aitken went left of center on a curve and struck the Malone’s vehicle head-on, according to Culver’s report.

Aitken was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa with head and trunk internal injuries, and admitted in stable condition.

The Malones were taken to Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville. Cathy was admitted in serious condition with head, arm, trunk internal and trunk external injuries. Henry was treated and released with head and trunk external injuries.
