Rogers County Industrial Development Authority and Northeast Technology Center are teaming up for the Entrepreneur Day and Business Expo, Thursday, Feb. 28.

This year’s event will be in the Claremore Expo and will include booth spaces for area businesses and individuals to promote their products and services on a business–to–business basis, along with opportunities for one on one networking.

The program will focus on “Location, Location, Location ... Education, Education, Education.”

The keynote speaker is DJ Clay Clark, owner of DJ Connection, as well as several other small to medium-sized businesses. The 27-year-old entrepreneur was named Oklahoma’s Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the United States Small Business Administration for 2007, and also named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Tulsa Metro Chamber in 2002.

Several activities are designed to create business networking opportunities and trade show traffic, beginning with the Networking Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. followed by 45-minute breakout sessions on Nano Technology presented by an expert in the field, Jim Mason with the State of Oklahoma Chamber of Commerce, and 20 Great Marketing Tricks That Will Drive Your Business Through the Roof presented by RSU.

The Rogers County Entrepreneur winners will be announced and awarded during the luncheon. Three categories are recognized each year by RCIDA, manufacturing, retail, and service. One winner from each category will be awarded during the luncheon. And a cash prize drawing will be held at the end of the day, by answering trivia questions.

The Business Expo and annual awards are designed to encourage and promote people who invest their time, talents and energy into the development of small to medium sized businesses.
