Claremore Police and Fire Departments were called to the north end of Claremore Lake for a possible drowning, Sunday.

"During the investigation, Claremore Police Department learned two males were fishing from the bank. One of the males slipped into the water and began to struggle," according to Claremore Police Department. "The other male went into the lake while trying to pull the other out of the lake. The second male went into the water and never resurfaced. The drowning victim was recovered and pronounced dead at 1:55 a.m. Monday."
