A good time was had by all at the 2018 Mr. Claremore competition
Nine contestants competed in three categories—formal wear, introduction and talent. At the end of it all Joshua Black came away with the title, a sash and a cap.
Claremore High School Counselor Debbie Grace, one of the event organizers, said the embroidered ball cap was donated by Sandy Sanders.
The event, she said, serves as a fundraiser for the Zebra Advisory Program.
Judges for the event included: Jeanne Heidlage, Rogers County Clerk, Travis Peck (who was the runner up in Mr. Claremore his senior at CHS), Director of Sales and Marketing with More Claremore and Matt Mason, Vice President with RCB Bank.
Leading up to the competition Heidlage said, "All three of my children graduated from Claremore High School and I never attended the Mr. Claremore pageant. I am excited to get to be a part of it this year."
