Tickets are now available for the upcoming original murder mystery play “The Secret of the Book.”
“Mr. Byfield is throwing the costume party of the year and everyone is invited,” explained Claremore resident and playwright Mark Ogle. “He is known as a self-made millionaire, but more so for the mysterious book he owns.
“What secret does this seemingly plain book hold? Does it hold the clues to a buried treasure or the meaning of life? Everyone wants to know, but he’s not telling and only by attending ‘The Secret of the Book’ will audiences find out for themselves,” he said.
Ogle, who wrote “The Secret of the Book,” has written numerous murder mysteries which have been produced locally, nationally, and internationally.
“Because of the play being performed in October, which is the month of Halloween, we encourage audience members to come dressed in (Halloween) costumes, to add to the fun,” he said.
Directed by Claremore woman Jessica Ammons, “The Secret of the Book” will be performed Friday, Oct. 13, and Saturday, Oct. 14 at the Belvidere Mansion in Claremore.
Tickets are $50 each and includes dinner and a show.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m., followed by the play.
Seating is extremely limited, so early reservations are recommended. Proceeds go to benefit the Rogers County Historical Society.
