A possible embezzlement from a Claremore booster club has drawn the attention of Claremore Police Department.
Claremore Police Department's Deputy Chief Steve Cox said they were notified of the issue on June 14.
"Claremore Police was notified of a potential embezzlement involving the Slam Dunk Booster Club. The Slam Dunk Booster Club supports boys and girls basketball at the Claremore High School," Cox said.
He said CPD is still investigating the alleged embezzlement and that a suspect has been identified.
"The total amount of money involved has not been determined at this point," he said. "At the end of the investigation, Claremore Police will review the facts and determine if the report will be forwarded to the Rogers County District Attorney's Office."
