United Way of Rogers and Mayes Counties has named Alisha Smith as its fundraising chairperson for the 2017-18 year.
“Alisha is currently treasury management officer for the five BancFirst locations in Claremore, and will make an excellent fundraising chair,” said Catherine Woldridge, United Way of Rogers and Mayes Counties.
Smith graduated from Indianola High School with salutatorian honors in 2006, and attended Eastern Oklahoma State College for two years while pursuing a career in the banking industry.
She began her banking career as a teller in 2006, and, after a brief separation with the company, returned and was promoted to customer sales representative.
In 2013, she moved to Coweta, and transferred to BancFirst’s Claremore region, where she began working at their location in Verdigris. She was promoted to assistant branch manager at the Ne-Mar location in Claremore in June 2014, and then to branch manager in August of the same year.
In May 2017, she was promoted to vice-president and accepted the position of treasury management officer.
United Way’s next fundraiser is its Chocolate, Wine & More Affair on Thursday, Oct. 5. Tickets are now available at any BancFirst location.
