A December 2016 audit conducted on the financial and record-keeping procedures of the Rogers County Treasurer’s Office has yielded positive results, again.
Treasurer Jason Carini said he was encouraged by the results of the recent statutory audit, which he credits his staff and new policies and procedures implemented after coming into office in July 2015.
“While those policies may not make everyone happy,
my goal is to do what is right, not what is popular,” Carini said.
The Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector perform unannounced audits on the treasurers’ operations and procedures, then issues findings.
There were no exceptions noted in the State’s audit.
“We’ve had a clean audit for two years in a row, which speaks to the success in the change of policies. My staff is dedicated to the job of serving the taxpayers, and I want to thank them for their hard work, customer service and high standards.”
