Local business owners Dennis and Linda Coons will be hosting a tag sale this weekend to benefit an after school program in Claremore.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, the Country Inn owners will host a tag sale at the Claremore Community Center to benefit the BLAST after-school program in Claremore.

“We wanted to do something for the BLAST program so we asked a few of our friends, and we are bringing lots and all sorts of things to sell,” Linda Coons said.

Among the items to be sold at the tag sale are catering supplies, two new kitchen pot hangers, some furniture, linens, Avon and Jim Beam collectible bottles, teapots and teacups, new clothing, a set of china, and more.

“We so appreciated Dennis and Linda’s efforts in support of our program,” said Mendy Stone, Volunteers for Youth. “People like them are what helps make the difference in the lives of our young people.”

The Volunteers for Youth BLAST program provides a safe place after school for 6th, 7th and 8th graders where they are provided a healthy snack, homework assistance and physical fitness opportunities.
