The Holidays have arrived at the Will Rogers Library. This year the library is inspiring a simpler season that is “Homemade for the Holidays”, with displays featuring creative handmade items designed to encourage gift and decorating ideas from the heart (and hands).

If you’re looking for unique ways to celebrate that won’t stretch Santa’s dollars too far, the Library offers a wonderful collection of seasonal books and magazines in print and online that are sure to inspire your holiday decorating, cooking, crafting and gift giving ideas. For a little creative inspiration to get you started, come to one of the Library’s Craft Workshops. There are holiday-themed crafting events for adult and for families this month to help you get into the crafting spirit.

If you just can’t resist a little shopping, the Friends of the Library have special gift items available in the lobby book sale, with great deals on rare, vintage and gift-quality books and sets just in time for the holidays. Another simple (and tax-deductible) gift idea to consider is the donation of a memorial book to the Library collection, a wonderful way to honor a friend or loved one with a lasting memory in literary form. Or consider a tax-deductible donation to the Friends of the Will Rogers Library Endowment, in support of the future of the Will Rogers Library.
