Two arrests have been made in connection with a Claremore homicide.
In May, 22-year old Dakota Rex was killed in a drug-related home invasion, according to the Claremore Police Department.
Two of three suspects in the case have been arrested.
Saturday afternoon Kairee Javon Cooks, 19, was arrested in Sand Springs.
Cooks is being held in the Rogers County Jail without bond.
By Sunday afternoon a second suspect was in custody.
Marquise Petey White, 22, was arrested in Tulsa and is also being held without bond.
Both are facing possible first degree murder and robbery charges.
CPD Deputy Chief Steve Cox said CPD got assistance from Rogers County District Attorney’s Office and Tulsa Police Department.
Cox said Cooks was arrested at his girlfriend’s house in Sand Springs while White was arrested in the area of 61st St. and Peoria in Tulsa without incident.
“Our investigation division has been working tirelessly since May. They have done an outstanding job,” Cox said. “Investigators Singer and Bruner specifically have done an outstanding job.”
“The investigation relating to the lone outstanding suspect is ongoing,” Cox said. “Anyone with information about this crime is urged to call the tip line at 918-283-8255. Callers can remain anonymous.”
