Northwest Fire Protection District, along with Oologah paramedics, responded to a structure fire that destroyed two mobile homes northwest of Oologah Tuesday afternoon. Although a plume of black smoke was visible for miles shortly after 2 p.m., it was after 2:15 p.m. before the blaze was reported to 911 dispatch and all three Northwest stations were paged, officials said. The first units were on scene within minutes, but by then the first trailer was completely engulfed in flames and the second was ablaze on the front side, which faces north. No injuries were reported.
