Following a single vehicle wreck at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 20, a Pryor woman is facing charges of attempting to kill her husband.

An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was dispatched to a single vehicle crash on Highway 20 in Rogers County.

On scene, just west of County Road 4230, he noted that a truck was on an embankment, in a thicket of small trees.

The driver said the passenger, Vanessa Free, pulled the steering wheel causing the crash.

"Vanessa stated that she and her husband were arguing and she jerked the wheel to kill both of them," the trooper reported. "She stated multiple times, on recording, that her intent was to kill both of them.

The husband said he did not wish to press charges.

The woman was placed under arrest and transported to Rogers County Jail.
