Shirley A. Tuttle of Fenton, Mich. (formerly of Verdigris, Claremore, and Broken Arrow) age 82, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 5, 2017, after a brave battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Shirley was born on June 4, 1935, in Kingfisher, Okla. and had been a life-long ‘Okie’ until moving to Michigan in 2010, due to health. Shirley married Ron Tuttle on Jan.13, 1956, in Oklahoma City. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Shirley graduated from Kingfisher HS in 1954, attended Central State College/Edmond, from 1954-56, and graduated from Claremore Jr. College (Rogers State University) in Claremore, in 1977.
Shirley was a 4-H Leader in Tulsa Co. from 1969-78, a lifetime member of DAR, and besides several part-time jobs - she was most proud of her volunteer work with Ron at St. Francis Hospital. Shirley also enjoyed Genealogy and worked for 30 years compiling family history.
Shirley is survived by her son, Reverend Fr. Brian (Johnda) Tuttle, of the home, Grand-daughters Brandy Tuttle of Livonia, MI, Kymberly (Joe) Strange, of Howell, MI, and 4 great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly.
Final arrangements are being handled by Dodds-Dumanois Funeral Home, in Flint, MI. Burial to take place in Tulsa, OK - at a future date.
