Published May 13, 2008 11:12 am - Gerald “Jerry” O. Holm Claremore, OK — Gerald “Jerry” O. Holm, 67, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2008, in Tulsa. Born June 8, 1940, in Centralia, Ill. to Hillard and Grace (Roberts) Holm. Jerry loved his country and served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Kirby-Smith Machinery in 2003. Jerry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who delighted in nothing more than seeing his family happy and successful. He was kind, patient, and tender-hearted—and was passionate about helping people in need. He had a life-long love affair with automobiles and was an avid auto-sports fan. He spent m any years racing stockcars and shared that love with the myriad of friends he collected through the years. He was a talented artist and a creative woodworker. He amazed his family and friends with his ability to do almost anything. We will miss him so very much.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Lina of the home; children, Deena Reherman and husband, Chuck, of Yukon, and Lance Holm and wife, Sharon, of Claremore; grandson Gunner Holm of Claremore; step-grandchildren, Adam and Holli Reherman, Valerie and Lance Price. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Moore’s Southlawn. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 14 at Moore’s Southlawn Chapel. Moore’s Southlawn 663-2233.
