Gary passed away Sunday, March 23, 2014, at his home, surrounded by loving family, at the age of 64.

The son of Leonard James and Vivian (Williams) Haddox, Gary was born April 17, 1949, in Bristow.  In the early 1960’s, at the age of 12, Gary and his family moved to Claremore.  In 1967 he graduated from Claremore High School.  One day while at Roy’s Café, he met the love of his life, Brenda “Joyce” Moore.  They were married on Oct. 14, 1968 in Pryor. Gary and Joyce made their home in Claremore with their three children. This past October they celebrated their 45thwedding anniversary.  Gary made his living as a tile setter, working alongside his brother Denny. Family and friends could always count on Gary for a laugh. With his remarkable memory and quick wit, Gary loved sharing embarrassing stories and was quite the jokester. Some of his favorite pastimes included gardening with his wife, and fishing, especially noodling.  He had a passion for collecting antiques, fishing lures, guns, knives, and marbles. Gary will be remembered as a loving

and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, and friend. He will be greatly missed by everyone he touched.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Haddox; and brothers, James Haddox and a infant Leonard Haddox Jr. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Joyce of the home;  children: Chandra Harrison and husband Jeremy, Gary Haddox Jr., and Sandy Kibby all of Claremore;  mother, Vivian Haddox of Claremore;  brothers:  Don Haddox, Wallace Haddox, Leon Haddox and wife, Judy, and Denny Haddox and wife, Nancy all of Claremore; sisters: Betty Moore, Sheila Griffin and husband, Mike, and Treila Andrews and husband, Gary all of Claremore;  grandchildren:  Tiffi Haddox, Derrick Haddox, Ashley Reed and husband, Derrick of Alabama, Austin Lewis, Whitney Haddox, Johnathan “Nate” Marang (Haddox), Remmington Haddox, Lakyn Kibby, and Cassie Kibby all of Claremore; and one GREAT-grandchild, Karsen Reed; and mother and father-in-law, Gerald and Anna Moore of Claremore; and host of nieces and nephews; and his loving canine companion Beau.
