Pat passed away on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. She was 83.
Born March 17, 1930 in Greenfield Missouri to Roy Ezekiel and Nina Mae (Terrell) Rogers, Pat was reared and educated in Pitcher and Muskogee, Oklahoma.
It was while living in Muskogee she met her future husband at the local skating rink.
On April 20, 1953 Pat married Verble Lenvel Liles in a VanBuren Arkansas ceremony. The couple was blessed with 2 children.
Pat's kind and caring nature was evident in the way she took care of her family. She was homeroom mom when her kids were in school and loved to make cookies for any special event they may have.
Later in life she volunteered at Wood Manor Nursing home and the residents were extended that same kind and compassionate care she gave to everyone she knew. She also took care of children in her home for many years. Pat was most happy spending time with her grandkids. They were the light of her life and she enjoyed spoiling them often.
A wonderful mother, grandmother and friend, Pat's servants heart will be missed by all that were recipients of her love.
Those family members that survive include her son Verble “Bud” Liles, Jr. and wife Kim of Plainfield, Illinois and her daughter Lynn Waugh and husband Darren of Broken Arrow; her beloved grandkids Alex Rolison of Claremore and Brooke Rolison also of Broken Arrow; 3 nieces Nancy Adkins of Wagoner, Patricia Stuart and Linda Kay Sallee of Muskogee; her aunt Tootsie Hunter also of Muskogee; sisters-in-law Katherine Barber of Claremore, Adeline Cottrell and Maureen Lewis both of Texas and her close friend for almost 50 years, Carol Boyd of Claremore.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 infant sisters and 1 infant brother and her sister Roy Ellen Jones.
