Emma Lucille Williams passed on the morning of 28 July 2013. She was 87 years old. Lucille was born Emma Lucille Gifford in the town of Pierce, Okla. on 23 December 1925. Her family moved to Ramona OK where they bought a farm and she grew up during the Great Depression. Lucille graduated from Ramona High School in 1943 and went to work in Tulsa for McDonald Douglas Corp., in their bomber factory supporting the war effort of WW II. During the war she also corresponded with a young soldier by the name of Wallace Williams. She married Wallace when he came home on leave. They had three children, Ronald, James, and Carolyn, as they moved throughout the world following Wallace's military career. Lucille and her family finally settled in Lawton, Okla. where she maintained a home for her family and worked for the Lawton Board of Education. Following the retirement of Lucille and Wallace they moved to Ochelata, OK to be nearer to the family and friends of her youth.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bomer and Etta Gifford, her siblings Allene Warner, Donald Gifford, Eugene Gifford, Ann Horsman and Lucille's husband of 50 years, Wallace Williams. Lucille leaves behind her three children Ronald (Penny) Williams of Ochelata, Okla., James (Dianne) Williams of Claremore, and Carolyn (Christopher) Southard of Lansing, Kan., also 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
Family and friends who knew Lucille well will surely miss her.

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Ramona Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Pirtle of the Rejoice Church in Owasso, Okla. officiating and under the direction of the Stumpff funeral Home & Crematory.
