Diana Louise Raley

CLAREMORE — A celebration of the life of Diana Louise Raley will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.

Diana passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2014. She was 71.

Born on July 13, 1942 in Foyil, Okla. to William and Dorothy (Ballard) Whiteside, Diana was raised and educated in Foyil. Diana worked as a book keeper for the family business, Raley Trucking Company.

On March 18, 1958 Diana married the love of her life, Delbert Raley.

Their union was blessed with three children and the family made their home in Stigler, Okla. Diana’s role in life was to be there for her children and husband. It was a role in which she excelled. As an involved mother, Diana supported her children in all their activities from girl scouts and dance to band and basketball.

She made sure the children had plenty of activities to keep them busy and out of trouble. Diana also made sure the family always had breakfast and dinner together. Diana and Delbert’s family said they were the perfect parents that set the standard for their children and their own marriages.

Another legacy Diana passed on to her children was her love of the Lord. After she taught her own children, Diana continued teaching in the Sunday School class at the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Stigler.

She loved children and enjoyed instilling God’s Word into the hearts of children, especially her grandchildren.

This loving mother and grandmother will be missed by all who knew her. Diana is survived by her children Delbert “Del” Raley and wife Kathy, Shari Hodges and Cynde Kleman; grandchildren Paul Daniel Hodges, Blake Kleman and wife Jessica, Erica Kleman, Kade Kleman, Amy Raida and husband Buddy, Loren Raley and wife Kathryn, Jarod Raley, Jennifer Barrow and husband C.J., Nicholas Luttrell, Barry Nunn and Tonya Wilburn; 18 great-grandchildren; siblings Wanda Couch and husband Earl, June St. John, Delores Green, Billy Joe Whiteside and wife Ynema; and numerous nieces and nephews. Diana was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Delbert Raley, her parents and sister Shirley Mizer.
