CLAREMORE — Albert Floyd Gambel was born Nov. 30, 1917 in Cushing, Oklahoma to Walter Wesley and Edith Lydia (Fresh) Gambel.

He attended Sequoyah and Foyil Public Schools. He married Dolly Faye Williams; and of this union they had two daughters, Alice and Alberta.  They made their home near Foyil where he farmed as well as working for Chaldler Materials as a block builder. He has lived most of his life in the Foyil area.

He was a member of the Foyil Baptist Church.

He died at his home near Foyil Monday night, Aug. 5, 2013 at the age of 95.

He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife Dolly, sister Marguerite Tennyson and brother James Leon Gambel.

He is survived by two daughters, Alice Faye Cole and husband Mark of Foyil, and Alberta Elizabeth Cupps and husband Henry of Claremore, Okla.; five grandchildren; sevem great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday at Seaman-Blanke Funeral Service in Chelsea.

Graveside funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 in Wards Grove Cemetery near Foyil, Okla. with Rev. Michael Clark officiating.

Casket bearers will be Tony Mariezcurrena, Charles Cupps, Alex Mariezcurrena, Varian Cole, Chandler Mariezcurrena, Nathan Cole.
