IN THE DISTRICT COURT
OF ROGERS COUNTY
STATE OF OKLAHOMA
PROBATE AND ADOPTION DIVISION
IN THE MATTER OF THE ADOPTION OF BABY BOY NULL, A Minor Child
No. FA 2006-78
NOTICE OF HEARING
THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA
TO: UNKNOWN PUTATIVE FATHERS OF BABY BOY NULL, BORN IN TULSA, OKLAHOMA, ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2006
On the 17 day of October, 2006, a Petition to Adopt the above child BABY BOY NULL was filed in this Court. If a Final Decree of Adoption is granted as to this child, your parental rights to this child, Baby Boy Null, born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 22, 2006, will thereby be terminated if they have not already been terminated.
An Application for Order Terminating Parental Rights and Determining Child Eligible for Adoption without Consent was also filed in this Court on January 8, 2007. This Petition will be heard on the 26th day of February, 2007, at 1:30 o’clock p.m. in the Courtroom of Judge Condren, Room V in the District Courthouse of Rogers County, 219 S. Missouri, Claremore, Oklahoma.
Petitioner has alleged in their Application that said child is eligible for adoption in that you, the unknown putative fathers of Baby Boy Null, a child born out of wedlock, having actual knowledge of the birth or impending birth of said child, have failed to acknowledge paternity of said child or to take any action to legally establish your claim to paternity of said child or to exercise paternal rights or duties over said child, including failure to contribute to the support of the mother of said child to the extent of your financial ability during her term of pregnancy, and that you have willfully failed, refused, or neglected to contribute to the support of Baby Boy Null, according to your financial ability.
Petitioner has also alleged that the birth certificate of Baby Boy Null names no one as the father of said child.
YOU ARE THEREFORE NOTIFIED THAT THE COURT WILL HEAR EVIDENCE IN SUPPORT OF AND IN OPPOSITION TO THE GRANTING OF THE PETITION TO TERMINATE PARENTAL RIGHTS AND TO ALLOW ADOPTION WITHOUT CONSENT AT THE TIME AND PLACE SHOWN ABOVE, WHERE YOU WILL HAVE THE RIGHT TO BE PRESENT, BE HEARD, AND PRESENT EVIDENCE. YOU MAY BE REPRESENTED BY AN ATTORNEY. IF YOU COME TO THIS HEARING AND WISH TO HAVE A LAWYER, BUT ARE INDIGENT, AN ATTORNEY WILL BE APPOINTED FOR YOU.
YOUR FAILURE TO APPEAR AT SAID HEARING SHALL CONSTITUTE A DENIAL OF YOUR INTEREST IN THE CHILD, WHICH DENIAL MAY RESULT, WITHOUT FURTHER NOTICE OF THIS PROCEEDING OR ANY SUBSEQUENT PROCEEDING, IN THE TERMINATION OF YOUR PARENTAL RIGHTS, AND THE TRANSFER OF THE MINOR’S CARE OR CUSTODY AND IN THE CHILD’S ADOPTION, ALL IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF OKLAHOMA.
Signed and dated this 8th day of January, 2007.
