NOTICE TO BIDDERS

Notice is hereby given that the City of Claremore will receive sealed bids in the Office of the City Clerk, Municipal Building, Claremore, Oklahoma, until 10:30 am ON THE 31st DAY OF OCTOBER FOR THE PROJECT KNOWN AS: WAREHOUSE MEZZANINE PROJECT, Claremore, Oklahoma.

Bids shall be made in accordance with the Notice to Bidders, Requirements for Bidders, Plans, Specifications and Bidder’s Proposal which are on file and available for examination at the Office of the City Clerk in the Municipal Building and are made a part of this notice as though fully set forth herein and a copy of which may be obtained from the Office of the City Clerk, Municipal Building, Claremore, Oklahoma, upon deposit of $50.00 per set, all of which will be retained by the City. Bids filed with the City Clerk shall be publicly opened at the time stated above and considered by the Mayor and Council in the following regular Council meeting. All bids shall remain on file at least forty-eight (48) hours thereafter before a contract shall be made and entered into thereon.

Attention is called to the fact that the Contractor must ensure employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color or national origin. All actions of bidders must be in compliance with the provisions of state, local and federal regulations.

Bids received more than ninety-six (96) hours, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays before the time set for opening of bids, as well as bids received after the time set for opening of bids, will not be considered and will be returned unopened.

A cashier’s check, a certified check or a surety bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall accompany the sealed proposal of each bidder. Deposits will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders. All paperwork in the bids submitted shall be complete. Ay incomplete paperwork, shall be considered an unresponsive bid.

Bidders agree to commence work within ten (10) calendar days after the date of a Notice to Proceed work order issued by the City, and to complete the same within 90 CALENDAR DAYS. Bidders shall be required to attend a MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE to be held at 10:30 o’clock A.M. on the 24th DAY OF OCTOBER, at City Hall in the Council Chambers, 104 South Muskogee, Claremore, Oklahoma. NO BID SHALL BE ACCEPTED FROM BIDDERS NOT PRESENT OR REPRESENTED AT THIS CONFERENCE. The City of Claremore reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
