Charles Graham returns to Claremore for concert

CLAREMORE — Washington Baptist Church, northeast of Claremore, will be hosting music evangelist Charles Graham in concert at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, July 14.

A fellowship dinner and fish fry will follow.

Graham provided the music during a revival meeting at Washington last September. He has recently returned stateside after ministering for a month in Burundi and Kenya.

For the past 15 years, Graham has worked with African Revival Ministries (ARM) during his mission trips to East Africa.

The ministries of ARM reach into numerous countries operating several hospitals, clinics, schools, orphanages, feeding programs, and farm projects. This year, Graham worked with two orphanages which rescue children from the streets who have suffered from abuse or abandonment.

“To hear their stories breaks your heart, but seeing God’s redemption makes your heart so very glad,” Graham said. While on this recent trip to Gitega, Burundi’s second largest city, Graham started a fundraising project for a hospital and clinic.

At this time, they must operate on just a small generator and solar panels.

The new funds will allow them to connect to the city power from the main road to the hospital. Since returning home, Graham has entered the studio to record his first CD in several years. It is due to be released this summer and will be entitled Hymns and Sacred Songs. Please join Charles Graham at Washington Baptist Church this Sunday morning for a time of worship, encouragement, and inspiration.

“Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free” ~ John 8:32 (NIV).

Clad only in a pair of plaid pajama pants, he crossed the street and walked down the alley behind a row of businesses. I was startled. As I approached the parking lot near the courthouse, I crossed paths with several deputies. Taking in the scene before me, I realized the barefooted man, whose arms clutched a few belongings, had been a prisoner in the county jail. He had been set free.
