Baptist Village wins national award

CLAREMORE — Baptist Village Communities (BVC) has been nationally recognized for excellence in the aging services field.

The video “Baptist Village Rocks” earned a silver award from the 2011 National Mature Media Awards. The production, first showcased at the 2010 annual meeting of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma, features BVC residents and team members dancing and moving to upbeat music, illustrating the joy of serving together.

The video tied for second overall in all CDs or DVDs receiving awards and tied for first in the “Housing” category. The production is available for worldwide viewing on YouTube by searching “Baptist Village Rocks” or at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W9lC08jHF_Y. The National Mature Media Awards is the nation’s largest awards program that annually recognizes the best marketing, communications, educational materials and programs for adults age 50 or older.
