Garden Party Luncheon Saturday

CLAREMORE — The St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Women will host their annual Garden Party Luncheon in conjunction with Safenet Services’ Garden & Pond Tour Saturday.

The lunch will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the church, 1310 N. Sioux. Cost is $7 and includes a scoop of ham salad, scoop of chicken salad, croissant, fruit salad, dessert and drink.

A basket featuring garden items will be raffled. Proceeds benefit Safenet Services and you do not have to attend the tour to eat.

    Clad only in a pair of plaid pajama pants, he crossed the street and walked down the alley behind a row of businesses. I was startled. As I approached the parking lot near the courthouse, I crossed paths with several deputies. Taking in the scene before me, I realized the barefooted man, whose arms clutched a few belongings, had been a prisoner in the county jail. He had been set free.
