Claremore bands to bring holiday cheer

CLAREMORE — Tis the season for joy and music and the community is invited to attend the annual Holiday concert series.

The Will Rogers Junior High and High School band students will perform the concerts. The first event will feature the WRJH band students t 7 p.m on Thursday a. at the Robson Performing Arts Center. 
“Our children are amazing and we couldn't be more proud of them! Please invite your friends and family to come hear their beautiful music and enjoy a delicious breakfast Saturday in support of our kids,” said Debbie Gunkel, Claremore Band Booster Association membership coordinator.
The junior high concert bands will be performing seasonal favorites, followed by a special performance by the jazz band in the foyer.
This concert kicks off the first of many events hosted by the Claremore Public Schools and the CBBA.
The Claremore High School band will also be performing at 7 p.m on Friday at the Robson PAC.
Additionally, the CBBA will be hosting 3rd Annual Pancake Band Benefit on Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Claremore.
Tickets for the pancake breakfast will be available during both concerts for $5 a person, according to Gunkel.
