Man arrested after bus barn break-in

CLAREMORE —

Claremore Police arrested Randolph White, 28, after he broke into the Claremore Bus Barn in an attempt to steal a school Suburban.

Officers were dispatched around 8:30 a.m. on June 21, according to the incident report.

“Upon arrival, an employee flagged us down and Officer (Brant) Bruner drove around to intercept the suspect as he was walking away,” said Officer Wes Patterson. “He was then taken to the station for questioning.”
It was later determined that White drilled out the ignition switch in an attempt to steal the vehicle.
The Claremore Public Schools decals on the side of the Suburban were also scraped off.
Approximately $1,100 in damage was reported.
White was charged with second degree burglary (from auto). His bond has been set at $3,000.
