Catoosa School Board elects officers

CATOOSA —

The Catoosa Board of Education voted to elect two officers during February’s school board meeting.
Former board member Amy Shouse took the vice president position, while former member Robin Hughes was elected school clerk. Each were approved by one vote to serve five-year terms.
The new seat five board member will be Jimmy Keeter.
In addition, motion for a vote took place to appoint Bruce Johnson as president for an additional one-year term.
Johnson’s five-year term expired last month, however since no other person timely filed for the board seat he was sworn in and will remain in office until the February 2014 board elections.
Catoosa School Board meets regularly at 6 p.m. on the third Monday of every month.
