WELCOME BACK: Teachers treated to breakfast

CLAREMORE — Claremore teachers enjoyed a welcome back breakfast in the high school cafeteria Monday morning.

Claremore students begin classes tomorrow.
The event, hosted by the Claremore Public Schools Foundation, was an opportunity for teachers and staff to meet and visit with each other before beginning the first school week of the year.
The morning was filled with goodies and prizes given out by different sponsors in the area.
Claremore School Foundation Director Marla Lillie and Superintendent Mike McClaren welcomed everyone back for a new year. They congratulated 2012 Teacher of the Year Denise Kimblern. She was named Teacher of the Year last spring and has been honored locally throughout the year.  The breakfast was held as an appreciation for all of the hard work teachers put in towards students of Claremore.
Certain donors make donations each year specifically for this, Lillie said.
“Going out and finding donations for this event is the easiest job I have to do all year,” she said.  That’s because of how highly regarded the teachers of Claremore are in the community.
Lillie said she could not thank everyone enough for a job well done. Breakfast was catered by the Pink House.
