CLAREMORE —

Rotary Club of Claremore President Barry Cramer, along with club member and Executive Director of Claremore Public Schools Foundation Marla Lillie delivered dozens of children’s books Wednesday afternoon to Catalayah, Claremont and Will Rogers Junior High.
Deliveries were made on behalf of the Rotary Club of Claremore and each book contained a club member or club speaker’s signature.
“Other Rotary Clubs have done this type of donation in the past and I had learned about the idea from club assembly. I just thought it would work better if we asked for a list of books that the librarians really wanted, so we did,” said Cramer. “I think this is something we will continue to do in the future.”
Catalayah Librarian Andrea James said the library is always in need of new books.
“This is a great idea and the Rotary Club brought some good ones,” she said. “They will be used for sure.”
