CLAREMORE —

“Today’s teachers have a daunting task,” Coale said. “The purpose of education is not to make you happy or smart, it is to make you useful.”
Coale gave a passionate speech highlighting the challenges teachers face and the critical role they play in the lives of children.
“There is no higher calling than being a teacher and no more of a greater calling,” Coale said.
She highlighted the importance of communication and the ways teachers can help students find their voice.
Coale was just one of many speakers that provided inspiration to the group as award winning educator and author, Cindy Hemm brought the audience to tears.
Hemm spoke of her experience working with Tulsa Public Schools and the success she had working with inner city students.
State and national experts led a number of breakout sessions teaching everything from mentoring to fundraising.
